In anticipation of their wedding, love begins to tell its true.

As the couple begins to enjoy their new life in peace, the Emperor of China assigns them the most important and delicate task to carry out.Whenever Mulan and Shang require support, they are once again assisted by the comedic trio from the original movie: Yao, Ling, and Chien-Po. Mulan’s loyal dragon guardian, Mushu, also returns to provide more humor and mischief as he tries to deal with his own worries concerning Mulan’s future.

The group traveling to the new destination provides the ideal setting to bring up the new questions concerning love, personal freedom, and the value of following one’s heart. Mulan’s compassion and strong will to help all leads her to be more progressive concerning the traditions of arranged marriages, especially after witnessing the princesses fall in love with the three soldiers, Yao, Ling, and Chien-Po.

Mushu’s main concern is that Mulan and Shang’s marriage will cause him to lose his family guardian status and close to the couple. Growing misunderstandings concerning their complex mission, force Mulan and Shang to learn the most difficult lesson of their lives: to trust one another, listen with hearts wide open, and to make decisions that reflect love and respect, as much as duty.

Near the film’s end, a heartfelt decision is posed to the characters: sacrifice truth for tradition, or the opposite. Will the commands of the Emperor be fulfilled, or will the princesses follow their hearts? Can Mulan and Shang learn to grow together after their differences? And learn the true meaning of loyalty, will Mushu?

Ultimately, Mulan II emphasizes the importance of personal agency, emotional integrity, and the power of togetherness.
