With nowhere to house the abandoned animals and too many to take care of, Nobita must make a challenging choice. Instead of taking the animals to an animal shelter or giving them away, he and his friend Doraemon come up with a creative plan to send the animals back in time — three hundred million years back in time, to a time before humans, to a time where they can live freely and peacefully.

They build a safe animal kingdom far away from danger so the animals can only roam freely. Using futuristic tools, the animals are placed in an environment free from the interference of the humans. With the help of futuristic gadgets, Doraemon makes the animals self-sufficient so they can build their own civilization. Nobita and his friends bid them farewell, knowing that the animals will live in a different world filled with peace and happiness.

Things began to change when Nobita, currently existing in the modern day, was sent a strange message from the past. Sadly, the message that Nobita was sent showed a horrifying change. Rather than the peaceful animal society which was previously there, there now existed an advanced animal kingdom. To Nobita’s disbelief, the dogs and cats now possessed advanced forms of language, technology, and transportation. To take it even further, some animals began to view humans as hostile and untrustworthy.

Filled with despair for the ongoing events, Nobita, Doraemon, Shizuka, Gian, and Suneo decide to visit the animal society. To their utter shock, a highly advanced animal society was built with an organized city. Nobita’s companion Ichi who used to be a mere dog and was saved by Nobita now goes by the name of Bow and is a highly regarded leader.

No society is perfect and the same can be said for animal society as there were humans. Emo, a powerful and mysterious villain along with devoted followers, is highly regarded for antagonizing society for his selfish goals. By the simple act of creating a society that’s devoid of humans, he is accomplishing his goal of spreading terror.

The non-stop aim becomes more of relieving animals of their pains and pains of other domination species while making sure both species forgo partnership and care and love towards each other. The group resolves their differences through challenges, cooperation, and heartfelt reencounters to carry out peace to the animal kingdom.

Nobita, and Ichi, who is now Bow, have a heartfelt reunion at the end. Their connection as boy and puppy is still intact after all these years of separation. They aim to eliminate the discord and peace the two worlds at the same time.

The animals and humans have opposing conflicts, yet there is always a path to peace. The essence of the film is that healing is made possible through forgiveness, and forgiveness opens a new tomorrow.

The use of colorful and expressive illustrations, as is the case with other installations of the series, is effective in bringing life to the illusions of prehistoric guilds with exuberant wildlife, sophisticated cities built by animals, and endless charm. Animals are designed with unique characteristics that accentuate their cuteness, as well as endowing them with distinct personalities.

The use of the Time Machine, Time Bag, and evolution tools offer a light yet playful approach to science fiction, which remains important to younger audiences.

Thechi folds the adventurous elements of imagination, emotion, and wizardry to create a spellbinding film. He aims to entertain, yet also sends an important message about kindness, responsibility, and the positive impact a single action can bring through.

The connection between humans and animals is deep and complex, and this film explores that aspect’s skills of empathy, trust, and the grace of friendship. No matter the age, this Doraemon film will certainly leave you feeling warmth and contemplation.
